Als Director Group Controlling (all genders) übernimmst du die Weiterentwicklung und Verantwortung unserer Group-Controlling-Funktion und stellst eine verlässliche finanzielle Steuerung, Transparenz sowie ein wirkungsvolles Performance-Management über alle Konzerngesellschaften hinweg sicher. Die Rolle umfasst die Gestaltung effizienter Prozesse, die Weiterentwicklung integrierter Finanzabschlüsse sowie die Verantwortung eines Teams. Sie beinhaltet sowohl kurzfristige operative Verbesserungen als auch langfristige Transformationsinitiativen - einschließlich der Integration moderner KI-Tools zur Optimierung von Reporting, Forecasting und Prozesseffizienz. Die Position ist an unserem Hauptsitz in Hamburg oder in unserem Büro in Berlin oder Dresden angesiedelt.

Was du unbedingt mitbringst

Abgeschlossenes Studium der Betriebswirtschaft, Finanzen, Volkswirtschaft oder eines vergleichbaren Studiengangs, idealerweise mit Schwerpunkt Finance oder Controlling.
Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung im Controlling oder Finanzbereich, idealerweise mit Führungsverantwortung.
Ein tiefes betriebswirtschaftliches Verständnis und die Fähigkeit, komplexe finanzielle Sachverhalte klar und verständlich zu präsentieren.
Hohe persönliche Ansprüche an Genauigkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Belastbarkeit
Sehr gutes Selbstmanagement, strukturierte Arbeitsweise und hohe Eigenständigkeit.
Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Excel, PowerPoint und im Financial Modelling.
Erfahrung mit MS Dynamics NAV sowie Reporting-Tools wie Business Objects, IBM COGNOS TM1 oder Data-Warehouse-Lösungen ist von Vorteil.
Erfahrung mit digitalen Tools und Offenheit für die Implementierung KI-gestützter Lösungen in Finanzprozessen sind ein großes Plus.
Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse.

Was dich erwartet

Du übernimmst die fachliche und disziplinarische Verantwortung für das Group-Controlling-Team (derzeit 4 direkte Reports).
Du steuerst interne Planungs- und Budgetierungsprozesse über alle fünf operativen Gesellschaften hinweg durch.
Du bist Sparringspartner für das Senior Management und hast die Gesamtverantwortung für das Management Reporting, einschließlich der Ad-hoc-Analysen.
Du unterstützt bei Sonderprojekten, einschließlich M&A-Aktivitäten und strategischen Finanzinitiativen.
Du bist zentrale Ansprechperson für das Shareholder Reporting sowie für die Kommunikation der finanziellen Entwicklung innerhalb des Konzerns.
Du stellst hochwertige Abweichungsanalysen sicher sowie die Berechnung von Sondereffekten für Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüsse.
Du leitest strategische Empfehlungen auf Basis finanzieller Erkenntnisse ab und präsentierst diese gegenüber dem Management und setzt Maßnahmen aktiv um.
Du bist für die kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung, Optimierung und Professionalisierung interner Controlling-Tools, Reporting-Strukturen und Finanzprozesse zuständig.

As Director Group Controlling (all genders) you will be responsible for our Group Controlling function, ensuring high-quality financial steering, transparency, and performance management across all group entities. The ideal candidate is an agile finance leader with strong process fluency, deep understanding of integrated financial statements, and the ability to drive both quick operational improvements and long-term transformation initiatives - including the introduction of advanced AI tools to enhance reporting, forecasting, and process efficiency. This position is based at our headquarters in Hamburg or in our offices in Berlin or Dresden.

Minimum Qualifications and skills

Degree in business, finance, economics, or comparable field, ideally with focus on Finance or Controlling.
At least 5 years of professional experience in Controlling or Finance, ideally including leadership responsibility.
Strong business acumen and ability to present complex financial topics clearly.
High personal standards for accuracy and performance even under pressure.
Strong self-management, structured way of working, and ability to operate on your own.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling.
Experience with MS Dynamics NAV and reporting tools such as Business Objects, IBM COGNOS TM1, or data warehouse applications is an advantage.
Experience with digital tools and openness to implementing AI-driven solutions in financial processes is a strong plus.
Very strong German and English language skills.

What the role is about

You provide functional and disciplinary leadership to the Group Controlling team (currently 4 direct reports).
You lead, manage, and execute the internal planning and budgeting processes across our five operating entities.
You act as a sparring partner to senior management and own all aspects of management reporting, including ad-hoc analyses.
You contribute to special projects, including M&A-related activities and strategic finance initiatives.
You serve as the central point of contact for shareholder reporting and communication of financial development across entities.
You oversee high-quality variance analyses and calculation of special items for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
You proactively derive strategic recommendations based on financial insights, present them to management, and drive implementation.
You continuously develop, optimize, and enhance internal controlling tools, reporting structures, and financial processes.
